V-Mart Shipment Policy

V-Mart assures 'Anxiety Free Shipping' for all the products that you buy from us. We ensure this by bringing together the essential elements of shipments such as packaging, timely delivery, order status updates and support from our trusted logistics partners. Hence, please be rest assured after placing the order as we promise to will look after everything for your fast & convenient shopping experience.

Timely delivery of the order is our utmost priority. However, the actual delivery of merchandise depends upon the availability of the product, the accuracy of the shipping address, etc. We have collaborated with leading courier and logistics partners to assure that you receive your order on time. Each order is usually processed within 48 hours and we update you at every step, i.e. when the order is placed, processed, shipped, and delivered. If you have any questions during the process, feel free to reach our customer support.

We aim to deliver products purchased from V-Mart in an excellent condition within the fastest possible time. For all purchases of Rs.1,000* or more, we will deliver the order to your doorstep free of cost. A shipping charge of Rs. 49 will be applicable to all orders valuing under Rs. 1,000.

If the order is canceled, lost or un-delivered to the location mentioned at the time of placing the order, we will refund the entire order value including any shipping charges, if paid online.

If you choose to return an order successfully delivered to you, the order shipping charges will not be refunded. For a few customer accounts, whose return behavior violate our fair usage policy, a delivery charge of Rs.49 will be levied on all orders, irrespective of order value. (Kindly refer to Section 3.1 for details)

  • What is V-Mart’s Fair Usage Policy for Customers?

    We arduously aspire to provide the best experience to our customers. However, it has been noted that a few accounts may abuse our liberal returns policy. These accounts typically place multiple orders without a bona fide intention of using or retaining the merchandise purchased return most of the items bought and or choose to not accept our shipments. Hence, our regular customers are deprived of the opportunity to buy these items. To protect the rights of our genuine customers, we reserve the right to collect the shipping charge of Rs. 49 for all orders and disable cash on delivery option for accounts which have a high percentage of returns and shipments not accepted by the value of orders placed.

  • How do you check the status of your order?

    The customers can track the order by logging with the registered email ID or social ID (Facebook or google+) on website/App and select ‘My Order’ Section. We ensure timely communication about your order status via Email / SMS under the following conditions:

    • When your order is confirmed / processed / shipped / delivered
    • When your order shipment is delayed
  • How can you check if V-Mart can deliver to your area?

    You can find out if V-Mart delivers to your PIN Code using the serviceability tool available on the product page. Please enter your area PIN code in the respective field to get the required information about standard order delivery time and availability of Cash on Delivery for the product selected. The PIN codes serviced by us are frequently updated, so if we do not deliver to your PIN code today, please come back and check to see if this has changed.

  • How are orders placed are delivered to the customers?

    All orders placed on V-Mart omnichannel are dispatched through leading own courier service partners in India. At this point, V-Mart delivers products only within India.

  • How can you get my order delivered faster?

    Sorry, currently we do not have any service available to expedite the order delivery. In the future, if we are offering such service and your area pin code is serviceable, you may receive communication from us regarding the same.

  • You have received a partial item from your order. What to do?

    Partial order may be delivered to the customers when the order is processed from more than one stores. Though the customer may have placed one order only, however for better & timely customer service, we may deliver the order from the different stores.

    However, if you don’t receive the complete order in 48 hours, kindly reach out to us for pilferage within 48 hours of delivery failing which the claim will not be entertained. Whilst we investigate, request you to please make note of the below pointers:

    • Please do not use the item for which claim is being raised.
    • You may be required to information’s like, a short description of the case (A few questions will be asked to help us understand the scenario)
    • The snapshots of the packet and other boxes (If any) (Try to cover the sides which look tampered/damaged as per the Users
    • The refund for prepaid/Cash on delivery orders will be done after the investigation
    • You may not be liable for a refund, if you fall in any of the scenarios stated below:
    • Failure to provide adequate information about the case.
    • Failure to provide snapshots of the packet and box(if any)
    • If a pilferage delivery was received, pilferage claims must be made the same day.
    • You must not dispose of the packaging for 3 - 4 days post - delivery. We might need to pick-up your packaging for investigation at our end.
    • You have used the item for which claim was raised.
  • What is the process of cancellation of Orders?

    You can cancel your orders as per V-Mart Returns & Exchange Policy.

  • How long does it take to deliver the product after it has been dispatched?

    It usually takes between 3 to 5 days to deliver the order after it has been dispatched. This varies depending upon your location. Once the order has been dispatched, we will notify you with the estimated delivery date on your registered contact details via Email / SMS along with the tracking number and courier/delivery partner details.

    In case a store is unable to fulfill the order on time, we will transfer the order to another store. If the order still can’t be fulfilled, the same will be canceled and your refund will be processed within 48 hours.

  • How much do we charge for delivering the products?

    The shipping cost, if applicable, is mentioned on the product page. The amount that you pay while placing the order at V-Mart omnichannel would include the product and courier charges.

    For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, the amount to be paid is mentioned on the package. It is the same price that is displayed while placing the order. You are not required to pay any extra amount at the time of receiving the COD order.

  • Whom to contact of order is out for delivery but has not reached?

    Courier companies update the tracking number on their website after the shipment is handed over to them. Sometimes it takes up to 48 hours for the tracking number to get updated. However, the shipment is on its way to its destination. If you have recently received the shipment details, we would recommend you to wait and try tracking on the website after some time. If the tracking number is still not updated, please get in touch with us.

    There could be a delay depending upon your shipping address, merchant's location, courier services, and unfavorable climatic conditions. You can track your shipment from the courier company’s website, using the tracking number sent to you on your registered Email/Contact number. If there's no update in shipment, please wait for 48 hours. Else, get in touch with our customer support team

    If the status is marked as “out for delivery”, and is not delivered to you in next 24 hours, kindly check with the courier company or contact us at customercare@vmartretail.com. We will follow up with the courier partner until your order is delivered.

  • What should customers do the product is delivered at the wrong address?

    In case, you discover that the courier partner has delivered your package to the wrong address, you should immediately contact us at customercare@vmartretail.com. We will follow up with the courier partner and notify you at the earliest possible. You can also contact the customer care for the same.

  • Can a customer change the shipping address after placing the order?

    You may request for change of address as long as the order is not packed and ready for shipment. You can track the status of your order from 'My Account' section. If the order is not yet ready for dispatch, you can change your shipping address from 'My Account' section or contact us. If your current order has already been shipped, you can still update the address in your Address Book for future orders.

    To edit an existing address that is saved in your V-Mart Account, kindly visit the 'Address Book' page and click on 'Edit'. After you have made the required changes in the Address, click on 'Save'.

  • What is RTO? What happens after an RTO is received by V-Mart?

    'Return To Origin' or RTO means that the courier company tried to deliver the order at your address but could not deliver the same due to any of the following reasons:

    • You were not available to receive the order.
    • Your location was out of the delivery area of the courier.
    • The payment was not ready with you at the time of delivery.
    • Your address was not traceable. Hence, it is shipped back to the V-Mart Store.
    • If it is a Cash On Delivery Order, the product will be returned to the merchant.
    • If it is a Prepaid Order, we will refund the amount to your bank account.

Shipping Policy – Amendments

The decision of the V-Mart with regard to any or all matters relating to this policy shall be final and binding on all concerned. V-Mart reserves the right to alter and enforce this Shipping Policy at any time without having to serve a prior notice on the user.

Return, Exchange, and Refunds

V-Mart Policy - Returns, Exchange, and Refunds

We, at V-Mart, are committed to offer our customers with an incredible assortment of products at amazing prices. Still, there is a possibility that our valued customers are not 100% satisfied with the products received from us. To ensure ultimate customer experience, we offer a ‘15 Days Free Return / Exchange Service’.

Return/Exchange Procedure

To initiate a Return or Exchange, the customer has to follow the simple steps below:

  • Login with your registered email ID or social ID (Facebook or google+) on www.vmartretail.com
  • Select My Order Section and drop down the list.
  • Click on Order Details against the order you wish to return partially or fully.
  • Click Return against the product you wish to return.

Customers can exercise any of the three options to return the purchased merchandise.

  • Once the return request has been placed, our reverse-logistics partner will visit your premises for pickup of item(s) to be returned.
  • The refund process is initiated once the quality check of the returned product is done at our store/warehouse. Please note that return & refund shall be considered as successful only after completion of the quality check i.e. ascertaining that returned products are not damaged as per conditions mentioned in Section 3.3 of this policy.
  • Online refunPick-up of merchandise by our Logistics Partnerd equivalent to the sale value of the merchandise will be processed within 10 days of successful returns. (Refer 3.4 )
  • Shipping charges will not be refunded.
2. Self-ship the Product to V-Mart
  • While we have made a reasonable effort to ensure seamless delivery and pick-ups across multiple locations in India, currently, we have a select list of areas where deliveries and collection can be undertaken by the logistics partners. In the events where logistics partner is unable to pick-up the purchased product from you, you can self-ship the product to the return desk of the store from which the delivery is done to you.
  • Upon self-shipping the product to the mentioned V-Mart location, you are required to scan the original courier/postal receipt to customercare@vmartretail.com for further processing. For the successfully received deliveries, we will credit a sum of Rs. 50 store credits to your V-Mart wallet. The aforesaid credit is subject to the returned products passing the quality check at V-Mart returns desk.
3. Drop at Store Option
  • We offer ‘Drop at Store’ facility to our valued customers in cities where our stores are located. We will also provide 25 reward points which will be credited in V-Mart wallet to customers who drop the return at our store.

Circumstances when the merchandise can be returned

The items eligible and qualified for return can be returned if it fulfils one or more of the following conditions:

  • Merchandise was delivered in a physically damaged condition
  • Merchandise is different from what was ordered
  • Merchandise is different from its description on the product detail page on www.vmartretail.com
  • The product does not fit or is different from the size ordered

What are the circumstances when the merchandise cannot be returned?

Return/ Refund for purchased Products shall not be entertained by V-mart if:

  • Product is ineligible to be returned and is marked as Non-Returnable
  • Product has been washed or Tags showing brand name/prices on the PDP page/material as well as accompanying accessories have been damaged or discarded by the customer
  • Returned product(s) carry stains, sweat, detergent, or body odour
  • The serial number or barcode of the product, as applicable, does not match our records
  • Products to be returned must be accompanied by the accessories, gifts or other items originally bundled with such Product

We will have the right exercisable at our sole discretion, to refuse to accept the return of such product or process refund in form of store credits after deducting the amount payable in respect of such gift items.

Can you change the Mode of Refund?

No, the customer can’t change the Mode of Refund. The following table will give our valued customers a detailed understanding regarding of mode of refund.

  • What is the time limit for customers to raise return requests?

    Our return policy permits customers to raise the Return/Exchange request of a product within 15 days of its delivery. For example, if the delivery date of the product is 1st May 2019, then he/ she can raise a return request until 15th May 2019. Our organization also accepts partial returns. However, the return request will not be entertained after 15 days of delivery.

  • What is the process to initiate a return or exchange request?

    To initiate a Return or Exchange, the customer has to follow the simple steps below:

    • Login with your registered email ID or social ID (Facebook or google+).
    • Select My Order Section and drop down the list.
    • Click on Order Details against the order you wish to return partially or fully.
    • Click Return against the product you wish to return.

    You can exercise any of the three options to return the purchased merchandise i.e. Pick-up of merchandise by our Logistics Partner, Self-ship the Product to the relevant V-Mart store or physically drop at the store location from which merchandise was delivered.

  • Does the customer need to use your packaging or can they use their own?

    Under the event of self shipment of merchandise to be returned to the mentioned V-Mart location, customer may use their packaging material which doesn’t damages the merchandise in any manner. Original product packaging may also be used for sealing the merchandise if it is not damaged while opening the product. For Pick-up of merchandise by our Logistics Partner, customers are not required to use packaging. You are requested to include the original order slip in the merchandise package.

  • How can the customers track the return/replacement requests?

    Customers can track the request for returning and replacements by logging with the registered email ID or social ID (Facebook or google+) on website/App and select ‘My Order’ Section.

  • When will the customers get refund in case of replacement/exchange worth less than MRP products?

    Since refunds are processed in form of V-Mart wallets credit hence the same can be instantly redeemed against payment for any future orders with similar or lesser value. The balance wallet balance (if any) can be adjusted against the payment for subsequent orders by the customers.

  • Can a used merchandise be returned ?

    V-Mart Return/Refund Policy mentions that request for return or exchange of purchased products shall not be entertained by V-mart if:

V-Mart Privacy Policy

The requirements of this Privacy Policy (“Policy“) have been adapted from the requirements under Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011. This Policy is an ‘electronic record’ as contemplated under section 2(t) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules. This Policy is an electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signature.

What Information Do We Collect From You?

As part of the buying & registration process, V-Mart shall collect your details such as name, e-mail ID, mobile phone number, billing and delivery address. Some of the details shall also be are optional such as gender and date of birth. We will collect personally identifiable information (PII) only as part of the registration process which is voluntary. This information shall also be captured if you place an order using the Site. PII may also be collected if you participate in any surveys conducted by us or if you submit any feedback on the Site.

We also collect and store non-personally identifiable information related to your interaction with the Site. Like many websites, we use ‘cookies’ to obtain such information. We may collect the pages you visit on the Site, the links you click on the Site, the number of times you access the page and any such browsing information on the Site.

V-Mart collects information from the user when creating a user account or when the user is browsing for products, transacting an online purchase of products through the Website or while posting comments, uploading content or participating in any offers or contests or availing special gifts or communicating with customer support by phone, email or otherwise.

V-mart shall receive, scrutinize and store User Information for security and technical reasons such as IP address, login id, email address, password, devise connection information transaction history, date, time and duration of the session on the Website. It shall also automatically receive the URL of the site from which a user visited and the site to which the user goes when the user leaves the Website. How Do We Protect Your Information?

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site. Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures. No Payment related information is stored within this portal and it is totally handled directly with payment gateway.

V-mart also endeavors to take all measures to protect the security, integrity and confidentiality of the user information against unauthorized breach and hacking. We may also use such software as it determines is best for maintaining security. If any user is provided with any identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of the Website’s security procedure, the user should treat such information as confidential, and the user should not disclose it to any third party including to other users. To prevent third party’s access to the Website the user should sign out from the user account after availing the services through the Website. The user is solely responsible for the activities that occur under the user’s account including the confidentiality of the user’s password and V-mart shall not be responsible for the same. While using and accessing the Website, the user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the user’s account and for restricting access to the user’s computer or other system or equipments through which the user uses and accesses the Website.

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Policy or elsewhere, V-Mart shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage or misuse of the User Information, if such loss, damage or misuse is attributable to a Force Majeure Event. A "Force Majeure Event" means any event that is beyond the reasonable control of V-Mart and includes, without limitation, fire, flood, explosion, acts of God, civil commotion, strikes, lock outs or industrial action of any kind, riots, insurrection, war, acts of government, power failure, sabotage, computer hacking, unauthorised access to computer data and storage device, system failure, virus, attacks, bugs, computer crashes, breach of security and encryption.

At times, your accounts may get disabled basis the rules run by our system on your order history. Similarly restriction may get applied on usage of particular payment modes by you. If you are not able to login to your V-Mart account or place order on cash on delivery that may be due to high returns or high number of door step rejection of orders placed by you. These are restrictions that gets applied on your account by our system basis the rules as per V-Mart Fair Use Policy.

What could be the commonly required Mobile Application Permissions?

  • Location: To locate nearby stores and return centers.
  • Phone: We are using this information to provide the functionality to call the customer care directly
  • Phone State: To identify cellular network information for optimizing performance on low bandwidth network.
  • Camera: To provide image search and contact customer care with the images.
  • Storage: To store or access photos captured by you at the time of contacting customer care or image search.

General Terms & Conditions

This Policy is to be read in conjunction with and shall be deemed to be part of the V-Mart’s Terms of Use and other related policies.

The User Information resides in V-Mart’s database for a certain period of time even after the user ceases to use or access the Website and in such cases, V-Mart shall not be liable for any usage of the User Information after the user ceases to use or access the Website.

The Users agree and acknowledge that User Information collated through the Website could be stored and processed in any other country across the world. The users acknowledge that for effective provision of the Website’s services in respective territories including territories outside India, the User Information may be stored or processed by trusted third parties. Whenever the User Information is shared with trusted third parties in countries outside India, V-Mart endeavours that the User Information is transferred in accordance with the applicable laws of India.

The user should be aware that the User Information or other data, the user provides to the Website for availing the services or transacting through the Website could be read, collected, or used by other users or third parties in which case the User Information might be used for sending unsolicited messages or communications for which V-Mart is not responsible.

The user agrees and acknowledges V-Mart’s right to utilize the user’s posts, contents, information and other personal data for the purpose of providing services through the Website.
